The Rudy Ogburn Scholarship
Thanks to generosity of many ACTEC Fellows and colleagues and friends of the late Rudy Ogburn (who was an initial Dean of the Institute and highly involved in its inception), we will be able to award scholarships to some of our participants in Class II of the Southeast Fellows Institute from the Rudy Ogburn Memorial Fund of the ACTEC Foundation.
The Rudy Ogburn Memorial Fund for the Southeast Fellows Institute offers financial scholarships to enable qualified attorneys in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia to attend the program, which is held every two years and consists of three two-day sessions. Scholarships of up to $5,000 per scholarship recipient will be awarded to help cover the cost of the Institute’s tuition and hotel and travel expenses. Preference will be given to candidates from smaller law firms that have no ACTEC Fellows. Emphasis also will be placed on promoting diversity and inclusivity of the participants in the Institute. The total amount awarded to each scholarship recipient will be based on financial need and the number of scholarship recipients for any Institute program cycle. Scholarships that are awarded will be applied first to reduce the amount of tuition owed by the participant, then to reimburse the participant for travel, ground transportation, and hotel expenses for attendance at the Institute.
Tuition for Class II of Institute is $3,000 per participant. This includes all programs, website access to course materials, breakfast and lunch each day, two receptions per session and one dinner (Session III/Graduation) with ACTEC Fellows, program speakers and sponsors.
